Noetic Learning Math Contest Spring 2010

• Date: April 15, 2010

• Who: Elementary school students (grades 2 - 5)

• Time: 45 minutes

• Location: <your school>

• Registration Deadline: March 27, 2010

• Fee: $29 per team. (A team consists of students from the same school and the same grade. There is no limit on the team members. The registration fee also includes our Spring 2009 and Fall 2009 contest problems and solutions).

Description

• Students will compete with other students in the same grade level across the country

• Students will work independently on the contest

• Students can only participate at their school grade level or at a higher grade level

Contest Format

• Contest time: 45 minutes

• There will be 20 five-point problem solving questions

• No partial points will be awarded to any problems  

• No calculators are allowed

Recognition and Awards

Only individual achievements will be recognized. We don't compare school or team results at this point.

National:

• Top 10% in each grade will receive 'National Honor Roll' medal and will be announced on our web site.

• Top 50% in each grade will be announced on http://www.noetic-learning.com/mathcontest

Team:

• Each team will receive a 'Team Winner' medal for the top scorer of the team.

For Team Leaders

• The test paper will be emailed to the team leaders prior to the contest date.

• Students' scores need to be submitted by the team leaders electronically by April 20th, 2010.
